Historical Foundations of Visual Technology Workbook

Project B - Creating electronic art
Combining digital photography, image manipulation using a photo editor, and Microsoft PowerPoint
with slide transitions and tone files, this project involves you in creating an example of modern active art.
The download gives you a full example electronic visual carillon as well as a library of tones you can use
and a tone sequence creation demonstration. Digital photography and photo editing software now make it
possible to easily capture and manipulate images. PowerPoint makes it especially easy to display images
and include sounds. Combine these tools to explore simple electronic art in this project!
Project B download:
This single zipped file contains three PowerPoint slide sets. Carillon_for_Pinkie.ppt is a
complete project for example purposes. Sound_catalog.ppt contains the library of tones used
to create the example project. Tune_creation_demo.ppt shows you how to sequence the
tones in the library to create new patterns.
