Project A - Documenting Gombrich's art comparisons
E. H. Gombrich makes scores of insightful comparisons between artwork by different
artists and from different times in his text The Story of Art. In this project you
find, illustrate, and summarize 25 of these comparisons forming a PowerPoint
presentation. You locate pairs of images used in the lecture slides sets provided and
assemble a new slide set with one slide for each of the 25 comparisons. Each slide
you create contains two images and your own statement of the points Gombrich makes
in comparing them. This project is an excellent review for the final exam. The CD/ROM
associated with this workbook provides the images you need to assemble for your
PowerPoint presentation. The download here give you a start on the project. This
download contains the title slide and the comparison slide illustrated in the workbook
to give you an example and template for the text boxes you need.
