I have written for courses I teach at DePaul University in Chicago.
The name Ambriana? I see colors when I see letters. I don't actually know
anyone named Ambriana. But it strikes me as a very colorful name, much like:
which is what, I suppose, P. Mondrian might have come up with if he
had preferred curves to straight lines and used a more expansive palette.
Maybe he knew someone named Ambriana.
Then again, maybe not.
But Picasso probably did, and maybe he would have drawn her portrait this way.
