Want to check out the
contents of the workbook? We have placed some of its page images into Adobe
Acrobat .pdf files for your review and zipped the parts of it for download. You can click on any or all of buttons
below to download these pages. How do we do this
without simply giving away the workbook? Well, as you will see if you
download the .pdf images, we have cleverly obliterated critical parts of
some pages with a reminder that the image is just a review document.
If you are on a slow dialup line you may
want to download just the table of contents and index first, and then
the sample content if the TOC and index pique
your curiosity. The appendixes are larger due to several annotated
screen shots that show you how to accomplish
various operations in Microsoft Windows (we've left most of the
appendix images free of the obliterating "sample" boxes, as a
public service).
The HTML generator project is a larger
programming effort that draws on just about all of the program logic
learning the workbook facilitates. If a person completes that project,
they provide themselves with a tool for turning public domain literature
files provided by Project Gutenberg into HTML readable using a web
browser! It's a great major accomplishment to put newly-acquired
programming skills to good use! |
