Information Technology Workbook

  For instructors...
Laura and I labored long and hard on the Information Technology Workbook to enhance the student learning experience and lower the cost of learning materials. We capitalized on the best of what the web has to offer! Ben Watts of Stipes Publishing joined us to innovate while holding the line on book expenses. We all feel that students will benefit greatly from this effort, and we hope to see more student learning materials start moving in this direction!

If your curiosity and interest are piqued by what you see at this web site, please click on the chapter 1 and 2 buttons. We have pretty much given away the store there! You and your students can download and use the full printed workbook chapters 1 and 2 immediately since we have provided the .pdf files for these, and the PowerPoint slides. This lets you consider the workbook for adoption purposes without waiting for an evaluation copy. It also lets students begin using the workbook even if your bookstore is late in getting them on the shelves.

If you are interested in using this workbook to either supplement an already-assigned text, or as the only required book for an introduction to information technology (as we do), you will want to have the slides for all 10 chapters. You can download the slides by clicking here but they will come to you as a zipped, encrypted self-decrypting file that contains all slides in a zipped file. We'll be happy to e-mail bona fide instructors the decryption password; just e-mail Jim Janossy at jjanossy@depaul.edu using your college or university e-mail address, and include in it the URL of your school's web site where your faculty directory and syllabus are located.
